Arnab Chatterjee, PhD - Vice President, Medicinal Chemistry Calibr at Scripps Research, Leveraging the World’s Leading Drug Repurposing Collection Against COVID-19
Dr. Chatterjee presented the Scripps Research effort on providing resources for repurposing drugs for new therapies. While it is comparable easy to find drugs working at the cellular level, most drugs fail in the 2nd phase of clinical trials with human patients. By combining databases of already approved drugs and providing resources such as tests, people and compounds, a repurposing database in the fight of COVID-19 was built.
