Dr. Ho presented the current findings on SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing monoclonal antibodies. It was found that patients with a severe COVID disease showed a more robust binding antibody response and therefore a more robust virus-neutralizing antibody response. Plasma from such patients was used to extract monoclonal antibodies for further study. Different aspects were studied, such as competing antibody clusters, effectiveness of antibody combinations and their Cryo-EM structure.
