Steve Lagana, MD, "Autopsy findings in the liver in COVID-19"
The last organ centered presentation by the autopsy team was given by Dr. Lagana. He focused on the liver and compared the CUIMC findings with available data from Chinese patients. He pointed out several findings, including commonly observed effects such as acute (lobular) hepatitis and, most probably stress induced, macrovesicular steatosis as well as less common findings, based on individual cases and presented histological data.
