Hanina Hibshoosh, MD, "Tissue banking in COVID-19: the power of the Columbia University Biobank"
Dr. Hibshoosh concluded the series of the CUIMC autopsy team by presenting the workflow of the underlying shared resources. He presented the available services, from acquisition over processing to characterisation and according contact details. For the COVID-19 research, all research is coordinated over the CUIMC Biobank, which stores data and material on liquid and solid samples. Research projects can request specific wishes which will be processed by the database. Giving an outlook on finer granulated data tagging to better connect to the ongoing research projects, he especially thanked the office of research which strongly supports the ongoing efforts on the COVID-19 research.
