Dara M. Steinberg, PhD, Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Columbia University Medical Center, “Pediatric consultation liaison psychology services during the COVID-19 pandemic: pivoting to provide care”

Dr. Steinberg presents study results on how the COVID-19 pandemic affects and changes the work of pediatric C-L psychologists. Before the pandemic the work was almost exclusively face-to-face, which shifted during the pandemic to more or exclusive remote work, some treatments had to be stopped completely. While the expected challenges of this process were reported (less patients, technical issues) some positive aspects of this shift were found too, such as better personal health protection or more flexibility.
