Roles and Responsibilities

As the Health Physicist, Kyle is responsible for routine health physics functions and duties relating to the implementation of hospital-centered and clinical radiation safety programs and the EH&S departmental mission. Kyle provides radiological and related support services to a variety of Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Kyle Michael Marquez is a passionate young professional who recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Physics. Born in Houston and raised in New England just outside of Boston, he has always appreciated the outdoors and camping. During his time in college, he joined the organization Camp Kesem at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Here, he developed a passion for helping others, acting as a camp counselor for campers whose parents have been affected by cancer. Helping families affected by cancer and his mother’s own battle with breast cancer inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare, particularly in radiation safety and cancer treatment.
