Introducing the EVPR Spotlight Series | Shining a Light on Research at Columbia

Dear Columbia Research Community,

The Office of the Executive Vice President for Research is pleased to introduce the EVPR Spotlight Series: Shining a Light on Research at Columbia.  This new series brings together Columbia researchers and the University staff who support their work into the same conversation.

Each Spotlight will take us behind the scenes of a Columbia research story. Researchers will share their work, the questions and challenges they encountered, and how their research evolved. EVPR staff and other University partners will participate in the conversation by explaining how their expertise, resources, and services supported the research along the way.

What makes EVPR Spotlight different?

The spotlight is on the research. The partnerships between researchers and research administration are revealed through the story.

Rather than presenting research or University processes in isolation, each conversation will explore where the two intersect. Our goal is to showcase Columbia research and researchers, make institutional processes and resources more accessible, demystify the EVPR Office, and create opportunities for dialogue across the research community.

EVPR Spotlight is open to everyone and anyone in the Columbia community interested in our research enterprise. Programs will be offered in a mix of hybrid and virtual formats, providing opportunities to participate from across the University.

Our inaugural Spotlight is coming soon.

We hope you'll join us as we shine a light on the research, people, and partnerships that make discovery possible at Columbia.
