About PCN
The Postdoc Career Network (PCN) is an exciting new data-driven tool that will allow postdocs to utilize CU postdoc outcomes data to make informed career decisions.
PCN reveals industry and employer trends to better assist postdocs on their career path. Postdocs can see which industries and companies are hiring their peers after their appointment at Columbia.
PCN will help embark on the journey of making data more accessible to postdocs. Join a nationwide effort on data transparency while remaining individually confidential!
Active PCN users will be able to:
How PCN works for postdocs
- Activate Your Account on the PCN Platform and answer a few questions.
- When an offer is received for your next position, postdocs report their offer information on the PCN platform to contribute to the network (name & contact information are not shared with other users).
- Once enough offers are posted in the PCN Platform, postdocs will have access to:
- The industries and employers where postdocs have been employed after their appointment.
- The base salaries, relocation, and bonuses received by region, industry and position.
- View which companies are sponsoring visas for CU postdocs. - Postdocs will continue to have access to the network and data after they leave Columbia University.
