Longitudinal Assessment of Neural Circuits in Adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa

Joanna Steinglass, Associate Professor in Clinical Psychiatry in the Center for Eating Disorders at NYSPI/CUMC

This is a longitudinal, multimodal MRI study of reward and habit circuits in youth ages 12 to 18 years with anorexia nervosa, and compared with age-matched healthy controls. Participants are studied annually for two years. Patients with anorexia nervosa complete monthly assessments. We have added assessments of COVID19 related stresses and resiliency factors to our longitudinal assessments.
