Certificates of Environmental Compliance

Emblem of the word compliance

As a condition of funding, certain granting agencies, such as the Department of Defense, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Department of Energy, may require proof of compliance with applicable Federal, State and local environmental and occupational safety regulations. These documents are known as “certificates of environmental compliance”, or similar, and often require the signature of an institutional official who can attest to the applicant’s compliance status.

Except for the use of radioactive materials on the CUIMC campus, Environmental Health & Safety will typically be responsible for indicating compliance.

Please see the steps below to apply for a certificate.
