Columbia University Postdoc Society (CUPS)

The mission of the Columbia University Postdoc Society (CUPS) is to facilitate a constructive and positive experience for postdocs that will benefit postdoctoral professionals and Columbia University. CUPS is a society run by postdocs for postdocs. CUPS represents all postdocs in the Columbia community and welcomes any postdoc to join their activities.

CUPS holds meetings the third Tuesday of every month on both the Moriningside and CUMC campuses.

With the support and help from members of the CUPS, OPA organizes Postdoc happy hours, coffee hours, a Postdoc Symposium in October, a holiday party for Postdocs and their families in December, and an annual ski trip!

Are you interested in representing your fellow postdocs and gaining leadership experience? CUPS is looking for motivated individuals, with a desire to help lead the development of this young organization!

Committee Positions Available: Community Building (e.g. networking, social hours.), Research and Professional Development (e.g. lunch talks, career building events), Outreach and Communication (e.g. newsletter, website, information events for new postdocs).

Please email the appropriate council's co-presidents with your request to join (emails provided below). As a token of appreciation for serving on the postdoc councils, Postdoc council members receive an annual membership to the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS).
