CovidWatcher is a research, advocacy, and policy tool that help identify hotspots in New York City and guide resources to the communities that are most affected. Rapid surveys about health, access to resources, employment, and daily life during the pandemic can be taken by individuals through an app or anonymously online. Dashboards that combine publicly available data about the city with the data collected from the surveys are created to monitor the evolution of the pandemic. This will enable hospitalists, city officials, and community organizations to better coordinate their response during and immediately after the pandemic. More at covidwatcher.org

CovidWatcher is a partnership between the department of Biomedical Informatics, the division of Infectious Diseases, the school of Nursing, the Urban and Social Policy program at SIPA, and the school of Social Work.
