Potential Spillover Effects onto Non-COVID Patients

Julius Chen, Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health

COVID-19 has led to both resource and capacity constraints within healthcare systems, causing many important, non-COVID-related procedures and treatments to be delayed or cancelled. In this project, we will study the impact of delayed or foregone treatment on patients' health outcomes, utilization, and spending (in both the short- and long-run).
