NYC Makes PPE

Jake Lee, Department of Computer Science, Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science

We are a coalition of 10 NYC makerspaces teaming up to make and distribute PPE for healthcare professionals, affected families, at-risk residents and others against further spread of COVID-19. This is a collective of engineers, healthcare professionals, professors, researchers, students and makers collaborating to create for a cause during this vitally difficult time in New York City. The New York City Makerspace Collective is making and distributing custom PPE that will go directly to areas that are in need of protective masks. This includes 3D printed face shields, surgical masks, and other needed equipment, made right here in NYC.
