To save lives, we must reduce the pressure on our medical centers, hospitals, and testing facilities. Spanning each of the other five Columbia COVID-19 research themes, Flattening the Curve research relays public health and behavioral guidance to communities around the world.
"If you don’t have a solution for this infection through medical science, while you flatten the curve, the curve will continue, meaning that you’ll continue to accumulate cases. So flattening the curve is also buying time for science to deliver potential solutions, treatment, and vaccines."
